How To Get A Selfie Ready Skin

The social media, internet and everything that comes with it has made everyone’s life very public. Also, some highly popular social networking sites like Facebook and its mobile sister app Whatsapp have given birth to the new genre of pictures. These pictures are self-clicked and hence are called ‘Selfies.’ Selfies are a rage these days. These are pictures taken really very closely and upfront. A flaw in the skin and some mistakes in your makeup can be just caught red-handed in a selfie, and you can be an object of laughter for all. So, take care of your skin, make it glowing and beautiful just to make your skin a ‘Selfie-ready’ skin!

Selfie

The selfies are mostly taken up close and personal. So, right from the tiny pores on the face to the dark circles and those blackheads and that tiniest acne has all the potential to spoil your selfie. Follow these simple yet important tips to always have selfie-ready skin and pose for that camera with all the delight!

1. Drink lots and lots of water:

I know you really know it, but the thing is you still tend to ignore the easiest and simplest thing that can hydrate your skin, maintain its elasticity and keep it protected from that acne. Water is the best bet, avoid those sugary juices and tonics which burden your pockets and just keep sipping on to the all-natural water now and then.

2. Wear cool sunglasses:

Cool sunglasses like literally, the sunglasses with good quality UV protection will be soothing for your eyes and the cool shades would upgrade your style quotient instantly. Also, they are an excellent help to hide those dull, sleepy and puffy looking eyes.

3. Wear light makeup:

Yes, do wear some nice lightweight foundation that would look really natural. Mostly the thin and runny foundations do the trick to glide well on the skin and give you that perfect looking natural glow. Just add that dash of blush on the apple of your cheeks that would look just natural pink flush on the skin and apply the darkest eye pencil, to define your eyes just to give them the outline. Thus, the bottom line while putting make-up is that it should look natural.

4. Cleanse – tone – moisturizer:

This one habit will sort all your skin related issues. Always clean your face with gentle cleanser, apply a mild toner, preferably alcohol-free, and dab on some hydrating yet light moisturizer. This regime twice a day will ensure beautiful looking skin all through your life.

5. Sweat it out:

The toxins and oil that is trapped in the skin pores will get unclogged when you get involved in some kind of physical activity regularly. The activity should make you perspire. This will flush out the toxins and oils accumulated on the skin surface, giving it that natural glow. So, get active now.

6. Keep a check on what you eat:

Eating a healthy balanced diet consisting of fruits, vegetables, cereals, whole grains, nuts, fish, chicken, and dairy will give you all the nutrients that are needed for your healthy body and young looking vibrant skin. Avoid alcohol and smoking while restricting restaurant food that is oily, fried and salty while preferring home cooked food. Do not overeat or starve to achieve the desired weight or just because you like or dislike some food.

don't overeat

7. Get rid of that facial hair:

The facial hair on the cheeks, chin and the upper lips will make you look old and unpolished. Get free of the unwanted hair that takes away the goodness of your face. Always shape and trim your eyebrows; as these are the features that are most prominent in a selfie.

Thus, all the above points if really followed then the desired results for that perfect selfie can be achieved. Ensure that you have good hair and skin and you are all good for that perfect selfie.
